Middle Eastern and Southwest Asian Peoples

This subcategory gathers social groups of the Middle East and southwest Asia identified by shared language, ancestry, or a documented way of life distinct from the surrounding national population, including the Bedouin, Kurds, Pashtun, Assyrian people, Druze, and Yazidi. Several of these groups live across more than one modern state and are documented as peoples in their own right rather than as citizens of any single country. This group does not cover the states or governments of the region, which Political carries, nor the religious content of Druze or Yazidi belief, which Divinity carries.
