Clyde Kay Maben Kluckhohn was an American anthropologist and social theorist best known for his long-term ethnographic work among the Navajo and for his contributions to the development of the theory of culture within American anthropology. During his lifetime he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1944 and to both the United States National Academy of Sciences and the American Philosophical Society in 1952.
